Lillie Spotts is a Maryland-based portrait and figure artist who creates art they love from things they love. Working within a wide range of mediums and subjects, Lillie is inspired by the power of art to act as a force of unity, change, passion, and expression. Through bold large-scale mixed media self-portraiture, she aims to challenge representations (and lack thereof) of women and gender non-conforming people in fine art, pushing the boundaries of comfort in the observer and demanding critical reflection. In contrast, their digital illustrations focus on coziness and whimsy, from soft character designs to humorous doodles.
